well I did it I bought a sail boat and we are now in the process of getting it ready for the season which means stripping it naked and rebuilding it. My workers assure me this is necessary and will last ten years. The most interesting thing about owning a boat is the treatment you get when people learn you are a captain of a boat they almost salute. So now I am Madam Captaine. I must admit i rather like it. The french love paperwork and believe everything you do must be a challenge but for some reason if you are Madam Captaine things move faster.The other day i went to get a moble phone for the boat and the girl was telling me i needed a copy of a phone bill but since my phone is listed under my landlords name and then i pay them there was no way i could get one until i mentioned i needed it for my boat" oh madam captaine no problem" and i had the phone.
